Here’s What Jason Voorhees Looks Like Under The Mask In ‘Mortal Kombat X’

Jason Voorhees from Friday The 13th is available as a playable character in Mortal Kombat X, as seen in this supercut of his fatalities. If you win the game as Jason without doing a fatality, he takes off his mask, drops it, and walks away, but you don’t actually see his face. They still needed to do at least a little animation of his face for the x-rays that display when another character performs one of their fatalities on Jason.

It turns out Netherrealm Studios rendered a face for the character, which fans were able to find in the PC version of the game and post on Test Your Might. This smirking Jason looks quite a bit different than the exceedingly deformed movie versions. Usually he has a face only a beflanneled mother could love.

This version looks a bit like Derek Mears, the actor who played Jason in the 2009 reboot, although I wouldn’t be surprised if Jason’s game face is based on one of the developers as an inside joke. Whatever the origin of this version of Jason’s face, turning this serial killer turn into a total SKILF may be the most brutal thing the Mortal Kombat franchise has ever done.
