Bask In The Majesty Of The ‘Rick And Morty: Virtual Rick-ality’ Trailer

Rick and Morty got swifty with a surprise episode played on a loop during April Fool’s Day, launching a frenzy for McDonald’s Szechuan dipping sauce, and now they’ve launched their own VR game, Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality. It is, in Rick’s words, “the hottest new trend, it’s the hottest new future of entertainment.” Rick goes on to rave, “You’ll never understand its majesty. VR for everyone. Everyone with a box on their face, Morty. One day you’ll understand, Morty. It’s raining money here in VR land. It’s raining money, ha ha! Wubba lubba dub-dub!”

Well, I’m sold.

The game comes from Adult Swim Games and Owlchemy Labs, the latter of which helped make a scaled-down version of Virtual Rick-Ality for last year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Rick And Morty creator Justin Roiland is serious about these VR games. He launched his own virtual reality studio and released a free VR game last year. Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality is an even larger endeavor.

Tuck in to some f*cking enchiladas and check out this official synopsis:

Experience life as a clone of Morty and all the trauma that comes with it. Step through portals to strange worlds, help Rick with his bizarre experiments, and use your hands in VR to pick up and play in an interaction-filled 3D Rick-ality. Follow Rick’s directions (or don’t!) to solve puzzles and complete missions in this fully voice acted adventure.

Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality is now available for the HTC Vive and Oculus + Touch on Steam and Oculus Home. Now if only we could figure out how to combine this with the Grand Theft Auto V mod somehow…
