The Latest ‘Rise Of The Tomb Raider’ Trailer Features Multiple Tombs And Grappling Hook Action

As we’ve established, Rise of the Tomb Raider is, shockingly, going to contain quite a bit of actual Tomb Raiding. We recently showed you a bit of a walkthrough of one of the tombs, and the game’s latest trailer doubles down on the raiding action. We get shots of Lara Croft slowly and dramatically approaching at least three giant tombs/ruins and lots of footage of her crawling through tight passages, solving puzzles, and generally doing her best to desecrate history. In other words, classic Tomb Raider!

The trailer also gives us a look at Lara’s new grappling hook in action, which appears to be a fairly central mechanic. It looks like Rise of the Tomb Raider may be a bit heavier on the platforming and somewhat lighter on the shooting and murdering. Although Lara still isn’t afraid to take down any endangered animal that crosses her path (you’d better not actually shoot that snow leopard, Lara).

I’ll admit, I was only so-so on the big 2013 Tomb Raider reboot, but Rise of the Tomb Raider is showing me the things I want to see. All we need is some dinosaurs, and I’m totally on board. Rise of the Tomb Raider hits shelves November 10.
