The Uproxx GammaStream Gets Behind The Wheel Of ‘Project CARS’

Project CARS is an interesting beast; it’s a boxed game from a major publisher paid for by the developer, Slightly Mad Studios, by pretty much selling off jobs working on the game. They reached out to racing game fans, who could buy Tool Packs to work on various aspects of the game and in turn, they’ll get some of the money. Essentially, it’s the first communist racing game.

And boy, is it pretty. It’s a game designed by gearheads, for gearheads, and there’s no unlockables or any other shtick; you just open up the game and start driving around. I am, of course, terrible at racing games and I get worse the more sim-like they get, so expect this livestream to largely be yours truly crashing, coming in last, and wondering where the Blue Shell is.

If that sounds like your jam, then check it out below, or if you want to mock the fact that I shouldn’t be allowed to drive, check in on the Twitch stream itself. We’ll be running from 2:40 to 4:40 p.m. EST: See you there!
