Rumor: The Second ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Trailer Will Feature ‘Classic Heroes’

Remember seeing the Millenium Falcon again for the first time in years? No, I mean REALLY seeing it in the first Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer? The sight of that lightsaber that some of you hated but some of you liked? Yeah, that initial trailer was pretty cool but it wasn’t whole because it lacked a certain something: C-3PO. But while there is no word when we’ll see everyone’s favorite droid (or second favorite… or third), a new report from Latino Review claims their sources are saying things that sources say about the contents and release date of the next trailer.

I got off the phone last night with my source and was able to confirm that we will see the new 2nd teaser trailer that will include all our classic heroes attached to the Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1st, 2015.

Our friends across the pond will be able to see the new teaser on April 24th, Australia and New Zealand on the 23rd.

The idea that a Star Wars trailer would be attached to the Avengers isn’t new and the claim about seeing “classic heroes” like Luke, Leia, Han, his leg cast, and Chewbacca isn’t surprising, but if this is to be believed, then it’s at least confirmation that we’re “only” 3 1/2 months away from our first look at those characters. Which is, if you think about it, a miniscule amount of time when compared to the decades that we’ve already had to wait for this and I’m just trying to turn your frown upside down because “May!?”

This is also good news for anyone who was worried that they might have to buy a ticket to a Disney film that didn’t share an audience with Star Wars, though I’m sure there will still be people who walk out of Avengers: Age of Ultron after the John Williams music concludes, and I’m sure when I see that, my Han-joy will fade and I will ragefully yell “Really?!” at a guy with Leia buns. Anyway, something to look forward to.
