Check Out Empire’s New ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Cover

Entertainment Weekly definitely won the print press battle for eyeballs during the San Diego Comic-Con this year. After all, not only did the weekly zine score an array of new photos from the highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but one of their two SDCC-themed covers featured the film’s titular characters (and a third). A second bonus cover provided a laugh, courtesy of Deadpool.

However, the latest issue of Empire Magazine just trumped it with an exclusive new cover courtesy of the Warner Bros./DC Comics tentpole film. That’s because the UK film and entertainment zine features the clearest photos yet of stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill dressed up as the movie’s combative heroes. And, as expected, they look a bit moody.

We’ve seen the two images combined to make the cover before, albeit with a great deal of graphic “fluff” in the way. That’s because director Zack Snyder teased Affleck and Cavil’s respective looks as Batman and Superman ahead of the April premiere of the first teaser trailer.

Just in case you’re still not on the bandwagon yet, you should probably go and read about Empire‘s new issue. That, or you can watch the SDCC trailer over and over again.
