So, how does Vin Diesel know exactly what intonation of those words director James Gunn is looking for in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? Well, besides the obvious answer (stage directions), James Gunn revealed on Twitter what the real secret is: a special script only he and Diesel possess, which shows what Groot is really trying to say:
