The First ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Trailer Will Arrive Attached To ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

Are you one of those people who always wants more? As you’re sitting down to the first Star Wars movie in decade, perhaps the most hyped movie of all-time, will you be thinking, “Well, this is nice, but what else do you have for me?” Well, good news! It turns out we’ll also be getting our first look at the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse alongside Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

X-Men: Apocalypse writer and producer Simon Kinberg confirmed Fox managed to nab that juicy pre-Star Wars spot, and gave some idea of the scope of the X-Men trailer…

“I can in fact confirm that information. Our first trailer will be on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It’s our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser but it’s certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it.”

X-Men: Apocalypse takes place a decade after the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past, and once again stars James McAvoy as Professor X, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven/Mystique and Michael Fassbender as Magneto. Oscar Isaac will be the titular villain Apocalypse, and a number of new names like Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Ben Hardy (Angel), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops) and Sophie Turner (Jean Grey) will be stepping into roles previously played by other actors. X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27, 2016.
