Oh, poor Ant Man. What does it take to get a movie made of a third-tier character that’s never been able to support his own comic?

If you’ve been following Ant Man‘s long march towards the screen, Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) was slated to write and direct an adaptation of it for Marvel, but he had to put development on hold to direct his version of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. But, Stan Lee twittered recently that Marvel was finally prepping it.

And now, Disney has registered the domain name ANT-MAN-THEMOVIE.COM, giving us more hope that the film is still on track.

And again, I couldn’t care less about Ant-Man, a character so boring that they’ve had to given him so many different identities to keep people interested. (And yeah, I know that this movie’s supposed to be Scott Lang version…but he’s been pushing up daisies in the Avengers’ Mansion garden for a while.) The point is, we’re all going to see this for Edgar Wright anyway…he could’ve made it a MODOK movie and nerds would’ve flocked to see it.

Wait, is that such a bad idea?
