‘Batman V Superman’: Zack Snyder Talks Doomsday And Even Bigger Enemies To Come

Some people complained about the most recent trailer for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice because it revealed the long-rumored presence of Doomsday, created by Mark Zuckerberg from the DNA of Michael Shannon’s flipper hands. We might be a little off about those details, but close enough.

As director Zack Snyder has already said, showing Doomsday wasn’t the spoiler people think it is. (Rumor has it there’s at least one bigger villain coming.) Now Snyder has spoken with The Daily Beast about Doomsday and teased more big villains. “Justice League is the next step for these characters to form a bigger team. Maybe there’s a bigger enemy to fight.”

Snyder wouldn’t say exactly which bigger enemy that will be, but he did say Doomsday’s mythology “has to be explored” and, looking ahead to his two Justice League movies, there is “a bigger world to start to think about.”

In other words, expect the DCU to build up to a Thanos-like big bad just as the MCU has been working toward. Does this mean (as Dan suspects) Darkseid will make a surprise appearance? Or maybe Brainiac? Or perhaps this intimidating villainess?

I CAN’T WAIT.
