First Look: 17 Minutes Of ‘Battlefield 4’ Gameplay Remind Us ‘Battlefield’ Still Exists

EA released 17 minutes of single-player gameplay from Battlefield 4, coming out this fall. It’s the first look at Battlefield 4 (other than a leaked trailer which was taken down before we could post it). The video is called “Fishing in Baku” (the capital of Azerbaijan), and it is reportedly made with in-game footage only. It looks quite a bit like Battlefield 3, except this sequel is built on the new Frostbite 3 engine and allows players to issue orders to the squad.

It’s coming to PC, PS3, Xbox360, and (presumably) to PS4 and the next Xbox as well, but it definitely won’t be coming to the Wii U. Battlefield 4 will also have a multiplayer mode, of course, but we have no video of that yet. We’ll just have to wait and see if Battlefield 4 multiplayer mode is as fun to troll as the last installment.

Now if you’ll excuse us, we have to solve some anagrams to get Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse Of The Heart” out of our heads.
