Chris Evans Joins The Chorus Of The Confused Over That Captain America Revelation

So when it comes to the revelation in Steve Rogers Captain America #1, people did not really take it too well. There were a lot of shocked reactions on Twitter, some people who were pissed that Captain America’s origins have been ruined, and a few others that feel like Captain America was fine the way he was before and there’s need to change anything or make him female. But what does the “real” Cap think about the new direction for his character?

It would seem that Chris Evans is not a fan himself, taking to Twitter to show his shock at Steve Rogers’ latest story twist:

Hey, he’s technically already a criminal in the film series following the events of Civil War. Is it really a surprise that his comic book counterpart would take that bad example and expand upon it? Some of Evans’ followers joined in with the disbelief, including one with this playful take on what Cap should do with the latest issue:

Look, this isn’t much worse than some stuff we’ve seen with Cap in the past. He once shunned the United States completely, then was thrown out himself in the late nineties before being killed off the first time and then brought back for Heroes Reborn. Although he technically hasn’t died at all, thanks to the magic of comic storytelling.

Just be glad the folks at DC Comics aren’t in charge of everything. Rebirth actually seems like a bigger mess than this, but folks seem to be focused on Cap.
