First Look At Nova Prime In ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Set Pictures

UPDATE: Brendon Connelly at Bleeding Cool, who saw the Guardians of the Galaxy footage from Comic-Con, says this isn’t Glenn Close (nor is the blue guy Peter Serafinowicz). Getty Images labelled her as Glenn Close, and we seem to have been one of the few outlets actually paying out the damn nose to legally use those licensed pictures a lot of other websites seem to have taken “from Reddit”. Silly us, we assumed when we paid a small f–king fortune for some licensed images that were labelled “Glenn Close sighting in full make-up filming scenes for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ on August 11, 2013 in London, England”, that meant they were pictures of Glenn Close we were buying. Maybe we should have done what a lot of other websites did and just steal them?

Around the same time we found out Vin Diesel may be voicing Groot, we spotted these pictures taken on the London set of Guardians of the Galaxy during filming yesterday. They provide a close-up look at members of the Nova Corps as well as our first look at Glenn Close in full makeup as Nova Prime.

The filming took place on Millennium Bridge in London, with extras painted to look like aliens panicking and running across the bridge. You can see some of those extras looking less panicked in the pictures below, and I think that might also be funny dude Peter Serafinowicz in blue makeup as a Nova Corps officer in one of the pictures.

Guardians of the Galaxy opens August 1st, 2014.

This guy could model for the Nova uniforms catalog.
