Homer Simpson Highlights The Dangers Of Paying Too Much Attention To ‘Pokemon Go’

It seems like everyone is down with Pokemon Go. It’s everywhere you look, with stampedes, discoveries of dead bodies and even thoughtful people deciding, you know what, I don’t need to work when I can just play this game on my phone all day every day. I mean who needs a source of income when you can spend all your time with Bulbasaur, amirite?

Now the ubiquitous craze has found its way to one of the more wise minds we as a society have ever come across. That’s right, Homer Simpson found Pokemon Go as well. And wouldn’t you know it, he’s as obsessed as the rest of us.

The makers of The Simpsons did a little reworking of a scene from season 25, when Homer take Bart and Lisa to the zoo but can’t be bothered to, you know, keep an eye on them. In the very amusing new clip, Homer’s distraction comes from playing Pokemon Go. Timely indeed.

So now, Bart can walk right up to the king of the jungle and Lisa can beg her dad to watch a baby giraffe take its first steps, only now, Homer isn’t paying attention because of Pikachu. At least he’s up to date on current events while oblivious to incredible and potentially catastrophic things happen all around him. Way to go, Homer. And way to go, makes of The Simpsons.
