The Newest Honest Trailer Lambasts ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ With A Quickness

The newest honest trailer from Screen Junkies and Smosh Games finally takes on Sonic The Hedgehog, a game filled with characters who are kind of creepy if you think about it for too long. As the honest trailer sums up the game and its maker, Sega, “From the company that went from Nintendo’s major rival to the guys who make games about spreadsheets, comes the franchise that shows what happens when you beat a dead horse for two decades.”

They touch on several of the most obvious complaints, from the racing spin-off being better than the newer games to the game mechanics which require you go fast while the level design then punishes you for going fast. Oh, and then there’s the issue of “the terrifying hellpit that is the Sonic fanbase.” Obviously, they could only show the tamest of fan art for that section. The other 99% of that putrid iceberg would have been safe for neither work nor our sanity. It’s enough to make a hedgehog facepalm.
