The internet may still be doing its share of grumbling and hand-wringing about the casting of Finn Jones as Iron Fist, but Marvel is charging ahead, intent on finding actors to fill a whole host of other roles. We already know another ’70s Marvel martial artist Shang-Chi will be part of Iron Fist, and now information on a number of new characters has emerged.
The guys at That Hashtag Show, who first broke news of Finn Jones’ casting, have leaked casting breakdowns for four characters. Here’s the info…
Character Name: DEVON
25 – 30 yrs old, male, please submit Asian, East Indian, Pacific Islander, etc., handsome, effortlessly powerful, an intelligent, thoughtful warrior.
PLEASE NOTE IF TALENT HAS MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING / EXPERIENCE. (Series Regular.)
It’s believed Devon is code for Davos, aka Steel Serpent, essentially Iron Fist’s evil mirror image, and one of his top villains.
Character Name: CHRISTINE
25 – 30 yrs old, female, Asian, New York toughness mixed with a businesswoman savvy, a good heart, but with many secrets.

Christine is code for Colleen Wing, a member of Heroes for Hire and one-half of Daughters of the Dragon with Misty Knight.
Character Name: JODY
25 – 30 yrs old, female, Caucasian, highly-educated, logical, compassionate. (Series Regular.)
Jody is likely Joy Meachum. A powerful businesswoman, Joy initially blamed Iron Fist for her father’s death, teaming up Steel Serpent to exact revenge. In recent years she’s gotten over all that, and has had some romantic involvement with Iron Fist.
Character Name: WALTER
30 — 35 yrs old, male, Caucasian, intelligent and insecure, brilliant in the office but has a ruthless streak. (Series Regular.)
Walter is Ward Meachum, Joy’s less-than-trustworthy uncle.
Like most Marvel movies and TV series, it seems like Iron Fist is sticking fairly close to the source material, although I’m sure there’s plenty of room for tweaks and interpretations.
