‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Parody’ Explains Why Bilbo Agreed To The Dangerous Journey

Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens in fewer than two weeks. Instead of talking about the newest TV spot showing a split second of Smaug, we wanted to feature a parody video instead. The Hillywood Show produced The Hobbit: An Unexpected Parody with the tagline, “What happens in Middle Earth, stays in Middle Earth.” Keep it secret. Keep it safe.

The music video is set to LMFAO’s “Shots” and shows what happens when the dwarves visit Bilbo and try to convince him — by any means — to agree to coming on the journey. Ah, so that’s how they got Bilbo to sign that contract. In other news, this is the only context in which I’ve been able to sit through an entire playing of LMFAO’s “Shots”. Those tricksy, tricksy hobbitses.

But you know what would have really taken this party to the next level? Party Thranduil.
