The Honest Trailer For ‘Minecraft’ Finally Gives LEGOcraft Its What For

The newest video game Honest Trailer from Smosh Games and Screen Junkies takes on Minecraft, “a game like no other (unless you count LEGO, Lincoln Logs, Mega Bloks, K’NEX, Erector Sets, or playing outside).” AND WE DON’T COUNT THEM. “Playing outside” knows what it did.

Although the honest trailer doesn’t touch on all the weird mods (Matt Damon texture pack? Sure.), they do touch on the Glaucoma-craft graphics and our jealousy towards those Millennium Falcons and 16-bit computers other people are building while we just keep getting iced by the Enderman.

The video starts out poking fun at the complicated gameplay, but it quickly veers off into the existential.

“Prepare for an open-ended game where you make up the story that will most likely be a story about a little blue man who punches a tree, then punches some dirt, then ravages the countryside of a peaceful land and steals all of its natural resources to satisfy his unquenchable thirst for pointless construction. Wait, am I… the bad guy?”

Woah, suddenly that Minecraft movie in the works is starting to look like Oscar bait starring George Clooney. With a Matt Damon texture pack, we hope.
