The massive, much-anticipated space exploration game No Man’s Sky finally arrives next month, and yet it still feels like there’s an air of mystery around the game. Yes, No Man’s Sky will feature 18 quintillion procedurally-generated planets, but what exactly will you do on them? Well, the makers of No Man’s Sky are doing their best to clear up the confusion with a series of four new trailers that focus on the game’s four gameplay pillars — exploration, fighting, trade and survival.
You can check out the Survival trailer above. As it demonstrates, No Man’s Sky will throw all sorts of hostile environments, effects, and creatures at you. Staying alive will require ingenuity and plenty of caution.
Next up, the Explore trailer. As the video shows, you won’t just be interacting with dumb aliens — there are also plenty of other ships and space stations out there as well.
The Fight video highlights some of the trouble you can get into. Of course you can fight aliens and robots planetside, but the game will feature epic space battles as well.
And finally, we have the Trade trailer. This one details the game’s economy, and gives us a first peek at a humanoid, or perhaps robot, NPC.
Hopefully, you now have a clearer notion of how No Man’s Sky actually plays. At this point, it seems pretty clear that the game will provide players with more than enough stuff to do.
