If you watched the TV movie based on Stephen King’s IT or read the book, you were probably scarred for life by Pennywise the Clown, ruiner of many childhoods. Now a guy in Northampton, England, has been dressing as a creepy clown (pardon the redundancy) and just standing around different places at different times of day and night. Oh, and he sometimes climbs into drains to achieve an even better Pennywise impression. As the Northampton Clown posted on Facebook:
So glad there’s a picture from last night. I didn’t wear my clown shoes as they’ve got holes in them from all the drains I’ve been climbing into. [Facebook via Fashionably Geek]
If I looked at a drain and saw the Northampton Clown staring back at me, pants would be shat.
Yes, the Northampton Clown has his own Facebook fan page with over 100K likes, a Twitter account, and his own popular hashtag #northamptonclown. And yes, he does “do” children’s parties:
