The Cast Of ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Is Officially Having Too Much Fun Behind The Scenes

Details abut Thor: Ragnarok have been sliding out since some footage and concept art made an appearance at Comic-Con. We’ve also learned quite a bit about the silly tone on set via social media, including the beginning of a prank war between the cast members. A new slew of posts continue that trend, but also have a little fun with Marvel lore itself. If the new logo doesn’t hit home that Thor’s next adventure will bring a little levity to “the twilight of the gods”

First up we have Chris Hemsworth as a very laid back Thor, putting down the hammer for a moment to play Connect-4 with Aussie writer Daley Pearson — who wrote The Strange Calls, which you can find on Netflix as a follow up or side step to Stranger Things. They are very different shows, but share that weird side of things.

Director Taika Waititi is also sharing some fun bits, giving us a glimpse at Detective Thor and his Rust Cohle board of wisdom. Or his Charlie Kelly mailroom conspiracy chart, whatever fantasy you want to choose. I just know I would pay to see a Detective Thor and Constable Hulk movie right now.

The investigation seems to deal with Thanos, the purple guy in the floaty chair. In terms of the films, we know Thanos has his gauntlet, is behind the events of the first film, and is desperate to get his hands on all of those nifty Infinity stones floating around the universe. Josh Brolin will play the Mad Titan on the screen in the newly re-titled Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled follow up.

And finally, Tessa Thompson shares a look at Valkyrie’s sword. If folks were upset that Idris Elba was playing Heimdall, imagine how they feel about Thompson playing Valkyrie. No doubt that she’ll be awesome, much like Elba is awesome as Heimdall, but you know someone will cry foul.

Still yet to be seen is The Hulk in gladiator armor, Thor with his shorter hair, the real clip from Comic-Con, and plenty of other cool things this movie seems to be promising. Still seems like it is time to get excited for a Thor movie for more than it just being the next Marvel film in theaters.
