Kobe Bryant’s Daughter Gigi Already Has The ‘Mamba Mentality’

When it came to being on a basketball court, few were better at giving their opponents buckets than Kobe Bryant. Bryant later dubbed his cutthroat attitude on the court as the “Mamba Mentality.”

So it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone to see the Mamba Mentality passed down genetically to Bryant’s daughter, Gigi. The two Bryants were filmed in Bryant’s home shooting a few jumpers as the younger Bryant was excited for the WNBA Finals rematch between the Minnesota Lynx and the Los Angeles Sparks.

The Los Angeles Sparks and the Minnesota Lynx competed last year in an epic five game series in the WNBA Finals last year that saw both teams trading buckets down the stretch until 2016’s WNBA MVP Nneka Ogwumike hit a putback after an offensive rebound to bring the Sparks the championship.

The rematch between Lynx and Sparks looks to be another epic barnburner with Lynx forward Sylvia Fowles taking home the MVP while Alana Beard of the Sparks won defensive player of the year. This matchup also features three members of the All-WNBA First Team squaring off, with Fowles on one side and Beard and Ogwumike on the other.

As the videos shows, Gigi Bryant possesses a deadly jumper for someone her age with the temerity to playfully dislodge her father from crowding her as she tries to create space for the jump shot. If these videos show anything, the professional basketball world might have a third generation of the Bryant family that might be competing for WNBA Championships sooner than later.
