A Car Crashed Into The Bulls’ Training Facility After An Accident Near The United Center

You could certainly describe the Chicago Bulls offseason as a train wreck, but now the franchise is involved in a real crash as well. A car crashed into the team’s practice facility early Friday morning.

Police were called to the Advocate Center when a vehicle crashed into the glass facade of the building, which sits just next to the United Center. According to USA Today, Chicago Police confirmed a vehicle crashed into the building around 5:20 a.m. local time.

Chicago Police Department spokesman Jose Astrada said a multiple-vehicle automobile accident is being investigated after the post-impact of the accident led to one car striking the building on West Madison Street in Chicago.

The Advocate Center, which opened last year, is located next to the Bulls’ home arena, the United Center.

The multiple vehicle part is important here, as it makes this kind of thing much more possible. It’s very difficult to crash into buildings, usually, but when it’s the end-result of avoiding and/or hitting other things your chances of impact seem much more inevitable.

The WGN Traffic Twitter account truly is a bleak look at travel in the city, by the way. Just endless delays for car crashes and photos of tow trucks. The lesson, as always, is never drive anywhere in Chicago.
