Alicia Keys Delivers New Single ‘Hallelujah’ Plus The Trailer For Her Upcoming Movie

Alicia Keys is staying very busy these days. Along with her role as mother and wife in the Beatz household, the singer’s passionately pursuing on her own artistic endeavors in music and film. Friday, she released her newest song “Hallelujah” as well as the trailer for her next film role in Let Me In.

“Hallelujah” finds Keys in her comfort zone singing over the piano as she belts out pain-tinged, yet hopeful lyrics. She sings “Hallelujah, let me in/ I’ve been praying but I’m paying for my sins.” The song is the second recent release from Keys in recent months following “In Common” from May. The singer’s working towards the release of her next studio album, her first since 2012’s Girl on Fire.

As well, the tune is featured as the backing track in the new trailer for Let Me In, a new movie in which the star has a leading role and serves as one of the executive producers. Directed by Jonathan Olinger, the film chronicles a family’s journey as they seek refuge from conflict and violence in conflict in Los Angeles.
