Chief Keef was arrested in South Florida on Saturday night and hit with a felony DUI charge. According to the police report obtained by the Miami Herald, Keef was driving around town in a two-door McClaren and stopped at a red light, where the passenger in the vehicle, Cortez McElrath, hopped out and ran to and Altima driving behind them and handed the the front passenger, Eddie Bryant, “a bag with a green leafy substance.”
Police officers spotted the exchange and stopped McElrath by pointing a taser at him. Another officer approached Keef and pulled his taser on him as well because, allegedly, he “was moving his hands around in the vehicle.” When Police examined Keef and his vehicle they noted that, he had “bloodshot, watery, droopy eyes” and “had a cup filled with a syrupy liquid known as sizzurp, which is also known as ‘lean’ or ‘purple drank.”
Keef was charged with a DUI after he “did not perform to standard,” on his field sobriety test. He allegedly told the officers, “It’s OK, when you find weed in my urine, I’ll just get my attorney to get my marijuana card.” Adding, “You’ll find weed in me.” McElrath and Bryant were also arrested and both men were charged with possession of marijuana.
