Drake Sent Out Condolences To The Victims Of The Manchester Bombing

Drake joined in the outpouring of support and prayers for the victims of the bombing attack in Manchester. Police suspect that 22-year-old Salman Abedi detonated a suicide bomb outside of an Ariana Grande concert, injuring nearly 60 people and leaving 22 people dead. On his Instagram, the More Life rapper said he was “crushed” to hear of the news and sent out prayers to all who were affected by the attack.

“We just left from touring in Europe and this was such a real fear we discussed frequently,” he wrote alongside a black ribbon with bunny ears, stylized like the cover of Ariana Grande’s most-recent album Dangerous Woman. “I was crushed today to hear it became a reality. My condolences to all of the families affected and we will be praying for all of Manchester. Also I am praying on peace of mind for Ariana.”

Grande herself shared an emotional and brief statement on social media.

“Broken,” she wrote. “From the bottom of my heart, I am so so sorry. I don’t have words.”

Many residents of Manchester have jumped in to help following the attacks and countless more have shared condolences or appeared at vigils for the murdered concertgoers, of which only a few have been identified.
