Drake Kicked Off His Summer Sixteen Tour With Tyga And Tory Lanez Disses

Well looky here. In a case of delicious irony, Drake’s letting it be known that everyting nah crisp with other rappers biting his Dancehall sound. You know, kind of like how D.R.A.M wasn’t okay with him kinda jacking the “Cha Cha” for “Hotline Bling.”

The 6 Gawd kicked off his Summer Sixteen Tour in Austin, Texas, Wednesday night and sent a stray or two to certain culprits guilty of copying his “Controlla” hit. While performing “Summer Sixteen,” Drake changed the “all you boys in new Toronto want to be me a little” to incorporate “Controlla” biters, rapping instead, “All you boys doing fake Controllas wanna be me a little.” Despite sitting high up on his throne as rap’s hottest rapper, the boy prees all, apparently.

No names were mentioned because this is Drake after all, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out the swagger jackers in question are none other than foes Tory Lanez and former YMCMB labelmate Tyga. The latter was recently hammered for shamelessly ripping off Drake’s chart topper for his single, “1 of 1.” Over on the 6 side, Tory’s currently enjoying some modicum of success with his Tanto Metro and Devonte sampled “Luv.” The T Dot rapper also released a remix to “Controlla,” that I’m admitting is better than the original. So, yeah, mans feeling the pressure, eh?
