Kodak Black Has Reportedly Been Banned From Returning To South Carolina

South Carolina officials recently allowed Kodak Black to leave jail on bond but not without applying a specific condition: that he doesn’t set foot back in the state.

According to NBC affiliate WYFF4, the 19-year-old rapper, born Dieuson Octave, is only allowed to enter the state for scheduled court appearances. The ban stems from his sexual battery case involving a female fan who alleged he sexually assaulted. Kodak Black was released on a $100,000 bond days ago and placed on house arrest with the ban from South Carolina being one of the conditions of his release. For the past four months, he was locked up in a Florida jail after pleading no contest to drug charges. Once his sentence there was completed there, he was extradited to South Carolina to face the new round of charges.

Even with the legal headaches around him, it didn’t take long for the rapper to get back to work. “I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love most – working at being the illest rapper alive,” he initially wrote on Instagram after being released from jail. On Tuesday, he released his new video for the song “There He Go.”

If convicted of the first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge, he could potentially face a 30-year sentence.
