Relationships are tough for normal people, so imagine being a celebrity and trying to maintain one. When you’re a rapper, there’s the everlasting road of touring to keep income flowing and the devilish temptation from groupies, and that’s only naming a couple factors. There are a few artists who have been with their wives for decades, such as LL Cool J, Bun B, and Ice Cube. We’re in a different era that’s represented by touring extensively, and that seems to have affected Lil Uzi Vert’s relationship.

For unknown reasons, Lil Uzi Vert and his girlfriend, Brittany, have broken up. Uzi released a new song titled “Stole Your Luv” that addresses the feeling of heartbreak. He seems to allude to the fact that being on tour ruined the couple’s chances. In the SoundCloud description, Uzi says a new tape is coming soon too.

As soon as the news hit, “Uzi and Brittany” started trending in the United States. Uzi was not shy about his relationship. You scroll on his Instagram and there’s plenty of pictures with Brittany. His relationship was almost as well-known as his music, and that’s why people are talking about it.

The reactions range from happy that Uzi will create his version of Future’s “Monster” to those feeling hopeless and not believing in relationships anymore. Whether you want to laugh at the latter, this really shows the influence that Uzi has had with his fanbase.
