Meek Mill Celebrates His 30th Birthday With His New EP ‘Meekend Music’

Since the infamous spat with Drake, Meek Mill has mostly played the background, releasing music here and there but staying out of the spotlight for the most part. He has been busy on Instagram, previewing tons of new music and now he’s back with three new songs to celebrate his 30th birthday.

Titled Meekend Music, Meek gets assists from Young Thug and A$AP Ferg on on the brief EP that serves as his first set of new collection of music since DC4 last year.

Meek has been working, and with Wale and Rick Ross both dropping albums so far in 2017, he would be next in line in the MMG crew to release an album. In that sense, rumors of his demise were greatly exaggerated, and coming back in time for the summer would make perfect sense for his brand of energetic street music.

What remains to be seen is if he’s going to let the Drake spat fade away, as Drizzy seemed to wash his hands of it in his interview with Apple Music back in February. Now, it’s time to just move on and try to flourish again, and with as unique as Meek can be there is plenty of room left for him to do just that.
