Nicki Minaj Came To Slay With ‘Black Barbies,’ Her Fierce New Freestyle To ‘Black Beatles’

Update: In a move that ignited glee from her fans, Nicki Minaj’s “Black Barbies” is now available on iTunes and on Tidal and it didn’t take them long to send #BlackBarbiesOnItunes trending on Twitter. Scroll down to check the updated streams for both services as well as the new cover art for song.

Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles” is now a viral and chart success, thanks in part to the Mannequin Challenge pushing the song to the top of the Billboard charts. And, Nicki Minaj found the perfect way to celebrate the moment — by releasing her new freestyle over the original beat titled “Black Barbies.”

Minaj delivered on her updated version by dropping in witty references to the incoming president and his policies with the lines “Island girl, Donald Trump want me go home, Still pull up with my wrist looking like a snow cone.” There are also conventional bits of wisdom to be found in other lyrics: “Young girls always lookin’ for a soulmate, But I shoulda listened to what momma told me.” But, the bulk of the song is Nicki doing Nicki and showing once again why her flows are better than her competitors, no matter if they’re male or female.

“New day, new money to be made
New things for them to imitate
I’m a f*ckin’ black Barbie
Pretty face, perfect body
Pink seats in the ‘Rari”

On Instagram, Nicki couldn’t help but gush at the success of her “Throw Sum Mo” friends and Gucci Mane, one of her earliest collaborators. “Why? Cuz 2 Lil black kids got the NUMBER 1 RECORD IN THE COUNTRY and I’m soooooo happy for Mike Will. Now ✅ that! *my baby Phaedra voice* ?? #SremmLife #MikeWillMadeIt Guwop on the nmbr one record in the country ??,” the leader of the Barbz shared.

Of course, her loyal fans were ecstatic with the arrival of new music. They sent #BlackBarbies trending on Twitter in no time at all.
