Nipsey Hussle Goes From Rambunctious To Subdued In The ‘Grinding All My Life / Stucc In The Grind’ Videos

Nipsey Hussle is smack dab in the middle of promoting his long-awaited album Victory Lap, and is already two singles deep in that promotional cycle, but that didn’t stop him from revisiting some older material with a set of brand new set of videos. Just days after the release of the Victory Lap cut “Last Time That I Checc’d” with YG, Nip dips back into the stash of 2017 material, dropping a connected pair of videos for the tracks “Grinding All My Life” and “Stucc In The Grind” for his fans to enjoy for now.

It’s an interesting approach, as Nipsey knows his fans are salivating for another peak at Victory Lap, but instead of giving in he’s giving fans a refresher in case they missed any of his 2017 music. The dueling videos contrast well, as “Grinding All My Life,” is the more aggressive of the two, even going so far as to recall a Las Vegas brawl that his people came out on top of. Then, the second half of the video offers a glimpse at a more subdued and reflective Nipsey, as he tiptoes through bars like “Say I die alone, I say my life a poem.” On one hand, it’s almost a shame that these two bangers won’t end up on Victory Lap, but on the other maybe that’s a sign of just how potent the album is that these are stray shots he let loose months before.
