Birdman Used Knockoffs Of Rich Homie Quan And Young Thug For Rich Gang’s ‘Pull Up’

Back in 2014, Birdman struck gold by throwing Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug together as a new iteration of his supergroup Rich Gang. Their mixtape, Tha Tour Pt. 1 , was one of the best releases of a stacked year and catapulted Thugger to another level. Eventually Quan left, and that caused some animosity between Thug and himself and functionally ended Rich Gang before it really started.

But Birdman knows a good thing when he sees it, so he’s done his damndest to keep the brand alive. Now, he has his very own Thug and Quan knockoffs on the latest “Rich Gang” track “Pull Up.” Nevermind that there already was a Rich Gang song titled “Pull Up” on the aforementioned Tha Tour, but Bird really had the audacity to go get his very own answer to Death Row’s The Realest and Top Dogg.

Whoever that is on the first verse is definitely not Young Thug, despite what your ears may say. And that fellow finishing off the second half of the third verse? Definitely not Rich Homie Quan. Besides that, the song if fine, but it’s a shame he drug Jacquees along for the ride because the guy has some talent and his mixtape, Mood, was a pleasant surprise earlier this year.

So yes, unfortunately, Rich Gang is dead, but even more unfortunately Birdman is trying to resurrect them with clones.
