The Aggies Are Ready For The ‘Bright Lights’ With This New Adidas Uniform

Texas A&M will be ready to shine under the lights this upcoming college football season. Adidas paired with the SEC school to make a special alternate design of the company’s Primeknit uniform.

TAMU and adidas announced the “Bright Lights” alternate uniform on Thursday, giving fans an advanced look at what the 12th Man at Kyle Field will see when A&M takes on Mississippi State on October 28.

The ‘Bright Lights’ Primeknit features a two-tone design, with red and black yarns matched to create a dual-color jacquard pattern. The effect is striking and gives off the illusion of two distinct, glowing colors. Texas football is all about life under the bright lights, and that spirit was something adidas worked hard to include in this special uniform.

The maroon and black pants also feature a reflective Texas A&M logo on the left leg, which completes the ‘Bright Lights’ theme quite nicely.

“But wait,” you might find yourself asking, ‘Did they make sure the gloves can be crossed to make the TAMU wordmark?

Hell yes they did. Hell yes.

Some other advanced technology went into the uniform for adidas, including a bodymap fit that helps athletes get a better jersey that opponents have a tougher time grabbing. A padlock system also keeps the jersey tight over shoulder pads, making the technology — and the look — pretty impressive all around.
