Broccoli City executed its multi-city environmental celebration in Washington, DC on Saturday, April 19, 2014 and Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, May 3, 2014 — reaching well over 10,000 multicultural youth and a list of celebrities that included Selena Gomez, Karrueche Tran, and Cody Simpson, just to name a few.
Festival goers were treated to a pop up market featuring an array of diverse vendors, complementary group yoga and fitness sessions, and live art instillations. In addition, elected officials, community activists, and environmental advocates delivered arousing speeches which underscored wellness strategies — all set to the backdrop of live performances from nationally recognized musical acts such as JoJo, Cam’ron, Just Blaze, Dizzy Wright, Vashtie, BJ the Chicago Kid, and more.
