10 Stories You Might Have Missed: Amy Schumer teams with ‘Bridesmaids’ director

Amy Schumer partnered with Judd Apatow for this summer”s “Trainwreck,” and now she”s set to team with another big name in comedy for another feature film: She”s making a movie to be directed by Paul Feig, who helmed “Bridesmaids” and this summer”s “Spy.”

The new film will be an action-comedy akin to Feig”s “The Heat” and will follow a mother and daughter trapped in a vacation gone wrong, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Schumer will star in the movie and co-write the script alongside with her sister, Kim Caramele.

Schumer has been making waves in Hollywood lately with her Comedy Central sketch comedy series and with a hosting duties at the MTV Movie Awards. Time magazine gave her a place on its “100 Most Influential People” list this year. 

Many of her sketches have struck a refreshing chord with female viewers, especially last month”s “Girl, You Don”t Need Makeup,” which put One Direction's “What Makes You Beautiful” in its place.

Also in this week”s edition of 10 Stories You Might Have Missed: Shonda Rhimes” next TV show does some recasting, Beyonce and Drake have another duet, and the final broadcast of “Late Show with David Letterman” draws its biggest ratings since 1994.
