“Sex Tape,” out July 18, concerns two people who accidentally release intimate footage to the world and can't handle the embarrassment. Strangely, these two people are played by Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz, two of the most consummately silly and shameless actors on the planet.
“We have a high tolerance for embarrassment,” Diaz said of herself and her costar. “It's hard to embarrass us.”
“The things that embarrass me… are if I think I might've said something to hurt someone's feelings. I'm, like, devastated by it. I'll sit with it forever until I say something to the person and they'll say, 'I have no idea what you're talking about.' But that's what gets me more than anything. My naked body? It's nothing. Well, it's something.”
