Live Through This: Courtney Love attacked by mob of taxi drivers, tweets throughout

I'm on the Courtney Love beat here at HitFix. I love this woman with complete earnestness and can't fully explain why. “America's Sweetheart”? Wasn't that bad! Earlier today, the Hole frontwoman continued on the comeback trail when her Uber car was attacked by (apparently) a mob of striking taxi drivers in Paris (more on that below). Here is a blow-by-blow of the harrowing ordeal, with photographic evidence:

There is, of course, nothing funny about this kind of violence, nor the legitimate complaints of the protesting cab drivers. But over the last decade or so — aside from the occasional album or acting role — Love has remained in the public eye largely by being a larger-than-life personality, and the live-tweeting session covered above is yet the latest (frankly amusing) example of that.

From ITV: “Traffic chaos erupted today as taxis blocked access to Paris airports, train stations and squares as part of a nationwide strike against cab service Uber.

Drivers demanding the French government crackdown on what they say is Uber's use of unlicensed cab drivers.
