Do you believe in David Duchovny? The “X-Files” star told David Letterman last night that both FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi) and Cigarette Smoking Man (William B. Davis) will return for the show's upcoming six-episode revival series.
“It's a strange phenomenon that people still want to see those characters, but I'm grateful,” he told the late-night host.
As EW notes, there are no deals in place for any actors except Duchovny and co-star Gillian Anderson at this point. That said, if Mulder is saying it, it must be true.
