Discovery announces line up for Shark Week 2016, return of ‘Shark After Dark’

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, Discovery reminds you to be completely terrified as they”ve released their plans for Shark Week 2016.

The cable network announced the 28th annual event celebrating the fanged fish will run between June 26 – July 3. During this time, Discovery will air nearly 20 different shows about sharks with titles like Air Jaws: Night Stalker, Nuclear Sharks and Sharksanity. The network will also bring back Shark After Dark, a late-night talk show hosted by horror maven Eli Roth.

Shark Week has been a boon for Discovery. The 2015 version was the network”s highest rated yet, with shows averaging 1.27 million viewers. A program called Super Predator bought in 3.35 million viewers.

As if that isn”t enough shark for you, SyFy will cap off July with the fourth installment of Sharknado.
