Everything you need to know about ‘Thor: Ragnarok’

Are you ready to return to Asgard in the (possibly) world-ending Thor: Ragnarok in 2017?

Comedic mastermind Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows, Flight of the Conchords, the upcoming Hunt for the Wilderpeople) helms the new adventure, which will feature Mark Ruffalo's the Hulk teaming with Chris Hemsworth's Thor in what is — according to Ruffalo — a space/buddy adventure in the vein of Midnight Run. The difference is that Hulk and Thor are reportedly in search of something that is key to their victory against Cate Blanchett's villainous Hela and, in all likelihood, saving at least one universe.

Thor: Ragnarok Director Determined to Make Thunder God More Than Just Abs, Teases A Verbal Hulk

When we spoke with him at Sundance, Waititi said that it was paramount that Thor be the most interesting character in the film. Many feel that Tom Hiddleston's Loki has traditionally stolen the show in this franchise. The director also teased that we may see a more verbal Hulk, and Mark Ruffalo has indicated that the Bruce Banner and Hulk personas may have begun to merge. There have been further hints that elements of the Planet Hulk storyline, which features gladiatorial battles on a world filled with (yep) hulks, may play a role in the film.

For now, take a look at the video above for everything you need to know to get ready for Thor: Ragnarok.
