‘Gotham’ Heats Up And ‘Supergirl’ Wraps On This Week’s Geeky TV

Last week on Gotham, Gordon betrayed the Court of Owls, Penguin wound up in the cell next to Nygma because said Court is really just very bad at killing people for some reason, and Bruce managed to overcome his fear to become Batman… OK, sorta Batman. On the road to Batman. Maybe he’ll wear the tacticalneck more often?

Anyway, this episode is all about Michael Chiklis, who once again plays a super-strong guy, only this time he’s kinda got a KISS vibe going. We like it, too bad he likely won’t survive the season. We’ll find out tonight at 8pm EST on Fox. Meanwhile, over on the slightly more together side of the DC TV multiverse:

Supergirl wraps up what’s been a very strong second season tonight. Adding Teri Hatcher seemed like a casting gag at first, but she’s turned Rhea into a genuine threat, and the return of Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant has been a great bonus as well. Tonight, of course, the fight is for all the marbles: The Earth, her life as Supergirl, and her inevitable breakup with Mon-El because let’s not kid each other, his ass is headed to space after the end of this season. We’ll find out tonight at 8pm on the CW. Join us, won’t you?
