‘Gotham’ star Ben McKenzie suffers head injury on set: ‘Holy concrete wall, Batman!’

(CBR)Gotham” is a dangerous place, especially for the brave men and women who attempt to keep the streets safe. Even stalwarts of justice like Jim Gordon don”t get through unscathed, as you can see in these photos from series star Ben McKenzie”s Instagram account.

The actor spent part of Friday – his 36th birthday – in the hospital getting stitches following an injury on the New York City set of the upcoming Fox drama. Remaining in good spirits, McKenzie chronicled his visit with photos, which were accompanied by comments like, “Happy Birthday to me. Fight sequence gone awry. Don”t ram your head into concrete pillars kids. #gotham” and “Holy concrete wall, Batman! #gotham.”

The resilient actor also mentioned he”ll be back at work today. If you”re squeamish, you might want to pass over the photos.
