‘Hillbillies for Hire’ brings redneck revenge to CMT

If reruns of “Punk’d” are a little too upscale for you, CMT might have the solution. “Hillbillies for Hire” (Sun. July 14 at 9:00 p.m.) follows Jeremiah and Big Ox as they use their “backwoods ingenuity” (did you know that was a thing?) to prank people through their for-hire prank business (also a thing) in Polk County, Florida. The show premiere will follow “Dog and Beth: On the Hunt.”
Jeremiah and Big Ox make themselves available to anyone who feels the need to enact a little “redneck revenge” on someone they know.  Whether it”s pranking a person who”s afraid of the water by pretending that their boat is sinking in an alligator-infested swamp, or creating an actual pigsty in a friend”s apartment because he never cleans up, all of Jeremiah and Big Ox”s pranks are done with the intention of having some good-hearted fun. If “good-hearted fun” means scaring the crap out of someone. Yay!
The duo proves throughout the series that they”re willing to do whatever it takes to pull off the most memorable pranks and hijinks. “Hillbillies for Hire” will premiere in its regular timeslot with new back-to-back episodes at 8:00 p.m., ET beginning Sunday, July 21.
