We Got Our First Look At ‘X-Force’ In The ‘Deadpool 2’ Trailer, And One Character Has Been Officially Identified

Fox

Deadpool 2 issued a new trailer on Wednesday, and we’ve already broken it down and made some guesses about the mutant team-up pictured above, assembling in a a military dropship. Now we have a confirmation (courtesy of Colossus actor Stefan Kapičić himself) about some of the details.

First off, many people immediately wanted to know if that’s Terry Crews — not listed on the movie’s IMDb page — standing on the far right:

Stefan Kapičić confirmed that it is Terry Crews during an interview with Inverse, and he also revealed which mutant is standing between Crews’ character and Deadpool in that scene:

“That’s not CGI of Terry Crews, that is Terry Crews. You can see it clearly. You can see behind him, Shatterstar, a really cool thing for people to geek out.”

Yes, Colossus just casually revealed Shatterstar is in this. Shatterstar can channel sonic frequencies through his blades. He’s a member of the X-Force — long-rumored to be coming and set as a priority by Ryan Reynolds — and his appearance in the film was already rumored. The same rumor also claimed Sunspot and Feral would have cameos, which may help identify the gender-ambiguous character between Deadpool and Domino. Feral has a cat-like appearance along with cat-like agility, claws, fangs, a prehensile tail, and a healing factor. That could be the character in the dropship, although I think it’s a much better bet that’s a male character like Chamber instead.

As for the character played by Crews, we’re assuming he’s G.W. Bridge, a non-mutant mercenary who (at first) worked with X-Force but later took a job with S.H.I.E.L.D. capturing X-Force members. Other guesses about Crews’ character include Anarchist, Garrison Kane, or — and I’ll admit I kind of like this one — Hammer, a superstrong computer genius with a photographic memory.

We’ll find out on May 18th when Deadpool 2 opens, and hopefully all the CGI will be finished. Kapičić said Colossus wasn’t seen in the trailer because the CGI wasn’t done, although he does have a very brief appearance in the Brazilian international trailer getting his butt groped by Deadpool at the 1:38 mark:
