Well, it finally happened, they’re rebooting ‘The Exorcist’

Even at the height of Hollywood's reboot/remake craze, there was something about The Exorcist that felt untouchable — at least until today, when FOX announced that they are “reinventing” the original novel by William Peter Blatty (upon which the famous 1973 film was based) for television. Curses! From The Wrap:

Fox has ordered a pilot for a one-hour drama series version of “The Exorcist.”
Billed as a reinvention William Blatty”s original 1971 book, “The Exorcist” is a serialized psychological thriller following two men tackling one family”s case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil.

“Psychological thriller” LOL! Also: good luck trying to erase our memories of a perfect movie, Fox! We all know it worked out great for Rosemary's Baby.
