Even at the height of Hollywood's reboot/remake craze, there was something about The Exorcist that felt untouchable — at least until today, when FOX announced that they are “reinventing” the original novel by William Peter Blatty (upon which the famous 1973 film was based) for television. Fox has ordered a pilot for a one-hour drama series version of “The Exorcist.”
Billed as a reinvention William Blatty”s original 1971 book, “The Exorcist” is a serialized psychological thriller following two men tackling one family”s case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil.
“Psychological thriller” LOL! Also: good luck trying to erase our memories of a perfect movie, Fox! We all know it worked out great for Rosemary's Baby.
