I wish there was a better word than “rant” to describe John Oliver's piece on America's incarceration woes, but he's really giving you the best kind of rant possible. It's a lengthy piece (17 minutes), but somehow totally compelling. “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” has dished out plenty of long-form feature stories before, but this one is so damning and so eye-opening that I feel comfortable calling it his best piece yet.
