Julia Louis-Dreyfus on ‘Veep’, ‘Seinfeld’, and Mean Dialogue

Julia Louis-Dreyfus' performance as the harried, eye-rolling Selina Meyer on HBO's “Veep” is a serious balancing act: She's both relatable and horrifying, poised and vulgar, efficient and clueless. Since Selina will be spending the third season of “Veep” (which premieres April 6) preparing her campaign for the presidency, it's safe to say we'll be seeing a lot more of her worst, yet most hilarious qualities.

We caught up with JLD at PaleyFest to discuss the most exhausting parts of filming “Veep,” her favorite dialogue, and when Elaine Benes will, like George Costanza, appear with Jerry Seinfeld on “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”
