Leaked video from ‘Wonder Woman’ set looks more like ‘Downton Abbey’

The show must go on, even during the holidays. For the cast and crew of “Wonder Woman,” that meant continuing work on location in the U.K. last week. DC and Warner Bros. have tried to keep a lid on the plot for Princess Diana”s first headlining feature film EVER, but in the age of social media, that”s mostly a fool”s errand. Especially when filming out in the open.

Case in point: Instagram user Blazinsaddles just happened to be in the right place at the right time. The right place being Lincoln”s Inn in London and the right time being during production of “Wonder Woman.” They managed to capture not just images of the set, but video of Gal Gadot and Chris Pine weaving in and out of extras as he escorts Diana somewhere.

There had been rumor Chris Pine would be pulling double duty as both modern day Steve Trevor and his World War II ancestor, but this set is definitely set during World War I. That doesn”t discount the rumor entirely though as Trevor would either need to be put in stasis or go to a timey-wimey version of Themyscira. Or just die or old age. That”s always an option, I guess.

Interestingly, it seems to be near the end of WWI. As Wonder Woman and Trevor make their way through the crowd the signs held by extras says things like “End War” and “Peace Talks in Progress.” With Diana cloaked in the same garb from her first official photo, she”s probably just recently entered the world of men. What would she think of a war that engulfed the entire planet?

“Wonder Woman” arrives in theaters on June 23, 2017.
