Despite previous reports that Noomi Rapace would not be returning for Alien: Covenant, Deadline is now reporting that the actress will, in fact, reprise her role as Elizabeth Shaw in the Prometheus sequel/Alien prequel; according to the site, unnamed “sources” have Rapace on the Australia set of the Ridley Scott-directed followup “to shoot weeks worth of scenes.”
Michael Fassbender is also back as the android David, who like Shaw made it to the end of the first film alive (if not exactly intact). Newcomers to the cast include Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demian Bichir and Billy Crudup.
